Great Korean restaurant in James Bay, food was delicious, fresh, and presentation was on point. Owners were lovely. You can tell through the food that they care about what they do. Highly recommended!

My visit to The Bop was absolutely delightful from start to finish. The cozy ambience immediately set the stage for a wonderful dining experience. The warm lighting and cozy decor created a welcoming atmosphere that made us feel comfortable right away. The service was exemplary; every staff member was attentive. It ... was an oddly chilly night and we were offered some complimentary hot tea. They were happy to offer recommendations and ensure that we had everything we needed throughout the meal. And the food was outstanding! Each dish had authentic Korean flavours, and came with side dishes to try. During our trip in BC, my mother had been craving homemade Korean food for quite some time. I miss Sushi Matsuri but I was very excited to have another Korean restaurant to eat at! great prices and portions and the staff are friendly as always. I’ll have to stop by and try their dinner menu. As others have said, the place is small so I suggest coming ... in during a quiet time/day. Looking forward to patio season! Read more

This Korean restaurant offers an authentic dining experience with a satisfying meal set. While the side dishes delighted the palate, the bulgogi could use a touch more complexity, and the bibimbap was a great. The staff were very nice, and excellent service added to the overall enjoyable dining experience.

Ordered the bulgogi bowl with kimchi and dumplings. Tried the rice punch as well. Punch very sweet but also tasty. The bowl and dumplings were a good portion too. Great service. This is a great change from the sushi restaurant. I will come back.
