Definitely the best Thai place in the city in my opinion! This restaurant is family owned and has a large menu of authentic dishes and amazing service. The portions are great for the price and all the dishes have a great kick. Anything from the menu is worth a try and ... defiantly coming back! I revisited Sookjai after a couple of years since my last visit. I noticed that the amount of bean sprouts in the crispy pork was smaller, but still tasty. The portion of chicken was a bit smaller than expected for the price, although the chicken itself was tender and juicy. ... Despite these minor issues, I would revisit to try other dishes like noodles. EDIT*** During this visit, I asked for more bean sprouts for Moo Gratiem (#34) and was pleased with the generous amount provided. The Phad Thai (#63) was phenomenal - it had a fiery, smoky scent and the taste was exquisite! It struck the perfect balance of salty and sweet, making it the best Phad Thai in town. Additionally, the Golden Cup appetizer was also fantastic (#1), the sweet and sour noodle (#61) was okay- it was a bit ketchupy, but still good. The service was a bit slow this time. If you don’t have a reservation, be ready to wait to eat the yummiest Thai food in about 1-1.5 hours after you waitlist yourself! Had some amazing green curry fried rice, coconut rice, great mango cocktails, noodles/pad Thai, fantastic tapioca and mango desserts too. Service was pretty quick. First time coming here. Love the easy going vibe of this family owned restaurant. The food is just amazing! Cannot complain about anything! Customer service was awesome. Very friendly place. Highly recommended
