The Very Good Butchers - Victoria, British Columbia

My partner and I have been wanting to check this place out for ages and while visiting Victoria from Toronto, finally got the chance. They didn’t disappoint! Even their drink selection was great- Caesars had recently been added to the menu, which was a very pleasant surprise. Everything we tried was ... so flavourful and amazing, and all the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. Awesome food and absolutely lovely people! I used to order from their monthly meat box for years until I moved overseas, so I try to stop in every time I visit home. This last visit they really exceeded my expectations - food, location, menu, everything feels like it's improved. And it's ... not just a fantastic restaurant, but a great place to go and pick up some prepared plant based meats to cook at home. We ordered the Mac n cheese, meatball sub, chicken sandwich, with a side of bacon. All fantastic. Read more

10/10 great comfort food. You can buy products to cook at home. Lots of options. had the mac and cheese.. It had more depth in flavour than I expected and my Partner had he burger of The month, he was v impressed! Would go again

Great vegan “meats” sold as pre packaged or made in sandwiches/wraps or whatever you order! You can get vegan smoked salmon as well, some vegan cheese spreads, some shirts and hats as well. Loved them when they opened and continue loving them. We love this spot for our fast food fix, usually order a poutine and the cauliwings. Both are super tasty! The pepperoni from their ‘butcher shop’ is also delicious. Grateful to have such fantastic vegan options from another BC based business!
