Romeo’s - Victoria, British Columbia

We enjoyed Sunday dinner here. Service was prompt and efficient. Food was very good and nicely plated. We enjoyed the day's special, which was Pork Schnitzel in gravy with roasted potatoes and veggies. Wine pretty good and reasonably priced. All in all, a good place to eat.

Not sure if it's just this location or all Romeo's in Victoria, I hope they enhance their ventilation power. The cooking smoke in the eating area is so significant that it leaves the smell of everything you wore as well as on your hair. And I found the food quality ... is degrading at this location. They start using plastic containers for small items such as salad dressing, ketchup dipping. The burger size seems smaller to me than the last time I visited this location. The specialty pizza is nothing special, but plain. The kids menu is way overpriced with the serving portion and quality of food. I hardly found any meat in a $13 kid's menu baked pasta. And the drink (milk or juice) costs an extra $2 with their kids menu. I'm very disappointed to notice these trends at this location after being a customer for more than 10 years. Read more

We just had an excellent experience as a large group with many kids. Li our server was outstanding and needs to be recognized. She was attentive, patient and went over the top to ensure we had a great experience. Give that girl a raise!

I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies. Very disappointing service. Dish was brought out and it contained the clearly specified allergens. (We ordered a salad, so it would be easy for the kitchen to alter it.) Remade dish came out and had hair in ... it. Waitress each time questioned us instead of just simply apologizing and fixing the issue. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. I should add: I asked to speak to the manager. She didn’t come. I went up and found her myself after I paid. She said she was not notified. She said she would talk to the waitress. This type of incident has only happened to us once before at a different restaurant and the manager at that establishment voided the whole bill and gave a very sincere apology. Read more

I liked the salad here, and the kids menu is great. Indoor sitting is wonderful and comfortable. Service is good.
