Wasabi Sushi - Vernon, British Columbia

I wish I had taken pictures to share....the quality of the food was terrible. This used to be a great place to eat with a reasonable price point. We ordered two bento boxes, one teriyaki chicken and one salmon. We got about 2 oz of salmon, a wilted salad, a ... huge pile of hard rice, and a California roll that fell apart and was stuck together. The chicken was paper thin and also about 2 oz of product. The service was friendly and prompt enough but the food was terrible and not at all what we used to get with the previous owners. We won't go back - Kawakubo, Kawa, and Oh Kim are close enough and far better. Read more

Amazing sushi and fantastic staff! I asked for gluten free soy sauce and the staff went above and beyond to not only provide gluten free soy sauce but also to make sure the rolls I ordered were gluten free as well! Good solid sushi place. Nothing over the top unique, but your food classics that you can count on. Wouldn't call it the most cost efficient, but it is what it is. Dining room is small and quaint. Not the fanciest for a date night but good for a lunch

Our favourite place for date night. We always enjoy a pot of green tea with our meal. We love mix and matching various sushi rolls and sashimi options. Always delicious! The servers are lovely! Nice variety in the bento box, busy the day we ate there. Spare, functional dining area, efficient service (one person managed all the tables herself!) prices are reasonable. There are better sushi spots downtown, but Wasabi is not bad and it is locally-owned, which is important to us!
