1609 Restaurant - Vernon, British Columbia

We went for a special night out during our brief stay at the mountain. On first read, the menu was somewhat more standard fare than expected but we’d heard good things. My wife and I decided to share the salmon and the beet risotto. The execution on both dishes was ... perfect! From presentation to textures to seasoning and quality of ingredients, I’d say this restaurant could hold its own with anywhere I’ve eaten. Service was lovely as well and though we didn’t drink much, the cocktail list was enticing. Only critique would be that the spool table was not especialy comfortable. Great restaurant and great service. Perfect place to eat when you don’t feel like the typical aprés ski pub food. I would recommend the mushroom ravioli or the lamb but their menu changes every season and they might not be there next season.

Very poor. This location used to be the classiest place on the hill. Had popcorn shrimp which tasted like deep-fried rubber. wife had the pasta, which was decent, but my Salmon was extremely sweet and overcooked. Sadly will have to try other places at this resort with bigger hopes.

For me was best value and quietest spot for lunch on the mountain. A little tough with ski boots on the stairs and tile floor. Walk carefully - it's worth it.

We had a beautiful drive up silver star under the super moon. Had a great window seat watching the lights on the beautiful trees. Dinner was really tasty.
