Bar Burrito - Vaughan, Ontario

Wasn't impressed with the selection of the food the hotel had to offer, so I decided to come here instead. All other restaurants in the plaza wasn't appealing to me either :p Arash was the very kind gentleman that made our steak quesadilla. It was very delicious. We got the pop ... and chips while waiting, and let me tell you about that salsa! That was one of the best I've ever tasted! I had forgotten to ask for guacamole and I had asked him how much to add it. He said $1. I'm cool with that. When I went to go pay the extra $1 for the guacamole, he said not to worry about it. Came here for dinner and it was wonderful. Chips and pop for $2 while waiting for supper to be cooked. Also the guy that was working was the best service I have had in a long time

Thus place is seriously understaffed. They have one person working behind the counter here AND next door at Hero Burger. It the place was empty when I got there and it took me a couple minutes to figure out that I would need to go next door to find someone ... to help me. That being said, the guy was nice. I ended up getting the pulled pork quesadilla which was not bad. The fries were mediocre and the drinks were bottled drinks so it's hard to go wrong there. As far as take out lunch options go, this is one of my favorites. I'm not the kind of person who goes to get a particular style of food, and then asks for all my own ingredients/cooking. You go to get a burrito, you tell them what kind of meat you ... want, (pulled pork, chicken, steak, ground beef etc..) and how spicy you want it, and they make you a burrito... a good burrito. I'm not going here expecting gourmet authentic full-on Mexican style bistro, nor am I going to chat with staff and be asked what a nice day it is (but they are pretty friendly as far as I've seen). I am sad to see these reviews on one of my favourite take out joints. Been going there for over 2 years, got to know the staff, who are always friendly and accomodating. The food is absolutely great, and although the decor leaves much to the imagination, its a ... great burrito joint. Read more
