Here you can find Turkish food served in a non-flashy venue - suitable for solo, casual, or family dining. Compared to other Turkish restaurants, they give a lot of food with a very reasonable price tag. They also provide a side option for the Turkish "bulgur" (instead of just rice ... or fries), at no extra charge. Main courses are served with a fresh and delicious garden salad. Given the great value, I don't mind paying a bit for bottled water (they don't really offer tap water). Grilled meats are very good - notably the shawarma. However, my favorite dish will remain the cheeseless pizza-looking "lahmajun" - probably the best I've had in GTA. If you still have room for desserts, I recommend the kunefe or shekherpare - which I often get with a small glass of Turkish tea. Finally, while this restaurant opens late (until 10pm), I would recommend getting there no later than 7pm if possible - I find the quality is more consistent that way. Read more
We ordered the beyti and the iskender kebab. Both weren’t all that seasoned at the risk of tasting bland, and the meat was quite dry. The food also came out room temperature so I’m not sure how long it had been sitting out for. The server was quite nice and ... patient with us and the dishes came with a salad. Walking in I thought it was one of those place where you order and then sit down but they actually take your order. It does feel slightly sketchy but maybe that’s because it’s next to a gas station. The lamb kabobs were so delicious along with the mashed potatoes and grilled tomatoes and pepper. The price is also worth it because it comes with a garden salad before the meal.
This was my first time going here and it did not disappoint!! The food is amazing!! The portions are large and the taste is incredible!! If you want the spice just ask and they will bring! I will definitely be going back! Upon arrival we got seated right away. Was ... served shortly after salad was served (which was amazing!!) and within 10 minutes our food was ready!
