The atmosphere is great, clean and well-organized, the food was just absolutely amazing! Went to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday with a large group. Our server Massimo did a great job serving a large table on his own, he was funny and personable. A top tier, stellar place to host ... any celebration or to go for an intimate dinner. My family and I went to Castello yesterday for Mother’s Day. I am extremely disappointed. Upon calling and making a reservation, I wasn’t told that the lunch would be buffet style. This was very misleading - I hate buffets. The buffet was not good. Each time I went up to ... get food, all of the serving trays were empty. I had to ask the waiters several times to refill the food at the station. There was also not much selection (2 pastas, 2 meats, antipasto, and one tray of potatoes). The dessert table looked like they purchased desserts from Food Basics and put them on display. I asked for a cappuccino, waited for a solid 25 minutes for the cappuccino to arrive and received the most disgusting cappuccino I ever seen (see attached photo). I did not even have a sip! This restaurant really put a bender on my Mother’s Day. Not a good experience at all. I do not recommend. My family barely ate anything and we left spending $50.00 per person which was quite upsetting. The atmosphere was extremely loud and very crowded. I had a baby with a stroller, and it was VERY difficult to move around. I will never book a lunch or dinner at Castello again. Read more

We recently had dinner at Castello in Woodbridge, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The risotto was perfectly cooked—creamy, comforting, and just full of flavor. The meat lasagna was equally impressive, with just the right balance of cheese, sauce, and pasta. What made our visit truly ... memorable, however, was the service. Arrived at 630pm for a 7pm reservation. The host didn't seem to mind. The atmosphere was romantic. Ordered their Castello classic salad, which was really good!! I had the steak (medium rare) and came just as ordered, including truffle fries, and my girlfriend had the gnocchi, which was served in white ... sauce. She said it was good but not the best she had. I asked the host if I was allowed to bring in a large oversized birthday gift 🎁 and they said no problem. Although it was my girlfriends birthday and I chose a premium spot.. they didn't offer a complimentary birthday dessert. However, the berry blast was well worth it. The slice we got was more of a rectangle, but the photo in the menu showed a taller thinner and round version. Minor detail as it ends in your mouth. Overall experience was 4.0/5.0. Came to celebrate our brothers birthday. It's a hidden gem, and the food was delicious. I got the gnocchi, we shared apps, and everyone enjoyed their food.
