Bill’s Pit - Vaughan, Ontario

This Restaurant had great potential! But disappointed the second we walked in 5 tables at 7:00 pm Saturday night server did not even pretend to smile. My friend and I each had a Rib steak which were very tough, baked potatoes were hard and over cooked. Vegetables were not hot ... and over cooked. Gave my steak back after only eating a little around the edge, the only waiter never came by to check on us, and was not offered another one or even a discount or apology, 20 minutes later, Frank the owner dropped the bill at the table and said it was perfectly fine steak. And walked away. Needless to say this place is a fail 😡and over priced and lacked in every aspect. NOT Recommended!!! Owner and waiter very rude. Read more

Very nice restaurant, foods were good overall but I give it 4 star for 2 reasons: we expected great quality to the price but the asparagus seemed to be boiled, thus tasteless and bitter, and the male owner seemed to be super cool that made us unsure if we were ... welcome there. Food was amazing. Steak medium rare was perfect. I usually order rare because other places overcook, but after reading the bad reviews I figured they actually know what medium rare is (and those reviewers don't). I was right. Service fast and friendly. Prices typical of good restaurants. Lamb shank ... special was very tender. Nice relish tray (photo is after we ate some of it) and yummy toasted bread to start. Went to Bill's Pit for my wife's birthday February 1st. Frank welcomed us at the door. Within seconds we knew the evening was going to be special. We took a lot of time to pick our food, Frank said " no rush, take your time, we'll go slow". The food was ... fantastic from appetizer to dessert. We went away with enough food for a meal next day. I went to Bill's Pit when they were located at Jane and Wilson, years ago and the food was very good. the food here was excellent, especially the mussels! you need a spoon for the sauce! Amazing! This restaurant is an excellent steak house with affordable prices. Had a really enjoyable steak cooked perfectly, and everything was piping hot. Only recommendation is to bring out the bread and olives quicker while waiting for someone to take the order. Our server was very friendly and ... overall we had a great night out.
