Max’s Restaurant - Vaughan, Ontario

Food was ok, lumpia shanghai was amazing. However the spaghetti was super overcooked, and the kare kare was mostly sauce, no veggies.. For the price they charge it was not worth it. Service was MIA most of the time and I noticed both the tables that came after us, and ordered ... after us, got their food first before we even got water.. Wasn't too happy with waiting over ten minutes for the bill either. Notably it was a weekend so busy service, but small things like these are definitely what separates good service from bad. **We also got charged 15% gratuity automatically even though we were a table of two... Service and Food were BAD. I don't know how else to say it. Clearly they don't have standards and don't train their servers well. Wait times were so long and when we got the food it looked and tasted mediocre. For a franchise restaurant, I expected better. I don't know ... why they are still open at this point. Lechon kawali was so old it looked like it has been chewed by someone and spit it out to fry and serve. Laing had a small bug on it. The kare kare was literally 80% sauce and chicken was so dry. We had a great experience at Max's! There was 8 of us and we were seated right away. We ordered the Family package B everything was delicious, the Kare-Kare was creamy & flavorful, the Crispy Pata is crunchy in the outside and tender in the inside, Ubod na Sariwang ... Lumpia melted in my mouth and of course Max's Fried Chicken. The servers were very friendly and efficient. If you are craving for Filipino food that satisfies your pallet, I would definitely recommend Max's Friend Chicken restaurant. Read more

went on Saturday, and was pretty busy. Ordered sinigang na bangus, order got delayed but they made it up to me by giving me extra sinigang for free and buko pandan desert for free too. Service crew was very polite and friendly. I loved the food, especially the pork bbq, ... buko pandan and sinigang too, it was yummmy. Serving was big, had to take it home. Highly recommend!!
