It cost $30 for a standard sandwich combo (after 15% tip). The sandwich is quite small, approx 5in across. The meat is good, and there’s a lot, but it’s still tiny and not worth the price I paid. Came for lunch on Friday and was not disappointed at all! I got the old fashion on an onion bun with a side of fries. The sandwich itself, vey flavorful, the meat is cut by hand and if very very filling. The fries are fresh, softer which matches the consistency ... of the sandwich. Next time I would 100% look to get the fries more well done. For the price of the food, the amount you get is well worth. Service was great; called and ordered ahead, food was ready less than 15 minutes later. When I showed up food was ready and hot! Been serving the best deli sandwiches in the city for almost 40 years. Meat is all hand cut and served warm. Portions are generous and fair pricing.

Brusque manager hostess. A bit rude to solo diners. Seat was not cleaned. Server was helpful with leftovers and takeout packaging. Line up at the one cash register to pay. Food is decent. Medium old fashioned was very lean, not fatty at all. To be honest, I wanted meat to be more juicy ... and flavourful like in past visits. Fries are always good. Lots of choices for mustard. Pickled red bell pepper and vinegar coleslaw and tiny dill pickle slice are tasty. But everything feels smaller and less exciting than before. Bathroom is not terrible. I was surprised how crowded the restaurant is at noon hour on a weekday. There was a lineup to be seated. I won't be rushing back. To be honest I can no longer recommend the old fashioned sandwich. I've been coming here for years and they are alway serving consistently excellent food. The Old Fashioned Smoked Meat Sandwich is my favourite. Served with fresh cut delicious golden French fries, it's to die for. Last time I was there, Ingrid served us and she was super ... friendly and helpful. The matzo ball soup is also very good.
