The Bistro – The Courtyard By Marriott Toronto Vaughan - Vaughan, Ontario

Great hotel, excellent service however getting back on the highway can prove to be slow during the busy hours. Not the hotels fault just the product of location.

Absolute worst customer experience I've ever dealt with, and I've been to many other Marriott Hotels as a gold star member. We booked the Courtyard Vaughan for 2 nights from June 14-16 to stay in while we get married in town (originally from Ottawa). After the ceremony we came back to the ... hotel and got changed quickly to an evening dress for a dinner restaurant. While we were away, I requested new towels and beds made while we were out for dinner. WELL call me shook and upset to find out that while we were gone, one of the hotel staff members managed bump into the table (with wheels) and spilt some of the leftover champagne onto the wedding dress that was laid on the table. The champagne stained the dress pink and was still wet when I inspected it. I immediately called the front desk about it, and because it was so late in the night (9pm), all of the supervisors and managers were gone for the day. They informed me that someone would be in the next day before I checked out around 9:30 AM. ...Next day. Went to the front desk to speak to the manager before checking out, only to be told that no one would be in until later in the afternoon. At this point, we had to leave to drive back home to Ottawa, but they rest assured me that someone would contact me when the manager gets in. Well, NO ONE contacted me the whole day, so I decided to take matters into my own hands and call them on June 17 to see if I can finally talk to the manager. Managed to speak to the front desk about my situation, and she rallied the information to the manager. As compensation they wanted to offer dry cleaning but we would have to bring the dress back to the hotel ...since they couldn't do it from Ottawa... which is a 5 hour drive for us. Told them that wasn't feasible and the only other thing they were able to do was offer a measly 5000 Marriott points for at least a couple of hundred dollars of damages to clean my wedding dress. At this point, I STILL wasn't able to talk to the manager directly because they wouldn't pick up after being transferred, and eventually, the front desk refused to pick up my calls as well. Absolutely disgusted by the lack of customer service provided here. If you're looking for a hotel that refuses to help you during urgent needs, stay at the Courtyard Vaughan! Stayed for a kids hockey tournament and couldn't have been happier with the hotel. The service here really stands above and beyond. Every staff member I interacted with from the front desk to the janitor were polite and welcoming. The rooms are huge, and well maintained.

Hotel rooms were very spacious, clean and modern. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Hotel was in an area close by to lots of stores and restaurants. Price was a lot better than other hotels in the area.

The Courtyard feels like home. I don't understand the negative reviews.. I've stayed here many times over the years and I've never had one bad experience. The staff are awesome, the rooms are clean and the location is perfect.
