Bar & Grill- SpringHill Suites by Marriott Toronto Vaughan - Vaughan, Ontario

I probably stayed in over 300 different hotels in my life including some in Canada and a few other SpringHill suites and I don't recall any of them putting an alarm on the stairs. It's not like it's a supermarket trying to prevent shoplifting, it's just discouraging people from using ... the stairs and costing you more in energy for the elevators. Save money on power and increase profits by removing the alarm from the stairs. Read more

Ive stayed here in a king room before and had no issues, so we went back. I booked 2 queen beds due to medical and size needs, when we arrived I noticed the beds were small. When I asked the desk they just said 'you booked a queen room, theyre ... queen beds' We checked out the beds again and confirmed they were absolutely not queens, they were not large enough. They were doubles (or fulls). Went down again and the lady at the desk said all their queen rooms use double beds, that they dont have doubles. Im upset at this point and ask if anything can be done, she says no, theres no bigger beds except a single king room (we needed two beds), and she says to talk to the manager in the morning. One guest needed to sleep on the couch because two people did not fit in a bed, and the other bed was cramped and caused issues with two people sleeping in it due to being a double not a queen. Manager says the lady at the desk lied that theres no way they could lie about the size of their beds and went on a rant about how people assume their king beds are small because they are used to california kings. This has nothing to do with the queen beds or their sizes. She said nothing about the queen beds except they 'look smaller'. She told me nothing could be done, despite this actively ruining our trip (again, needed the larger beds for 2 reasons, one medical guest, and one size related.) I got no answers and told there was nothing they could do. I said I wanted something done and she said they would email me to escalate it further. I have yet to get any email, so I assume that was also a lie like the beds. Included photos for size reference but hard to see on them. Mascot head is human head sized. The breakfast was also cold, dry and 50% of the breakfast items were missing, including bacon, GF cereals, half the drinks offered in the past, and many more. Decent enough, clean and close enough to subway station to make trip into city easy. Rooms were an odd layout, and "suite" seems a bit of a stretch. A partial glass divider (sort of) separates the desk/couch from the bed. Bathroom situation is two separate rooms (toilet+ hand sink; shower + ... full vanity sink) but RIGHT at the foot of the bed. A/C worked just fine, the sticky note outlining usage was a little sad - just fix the problem.... Average free breakfast included. Helpful staff. We Uber-ed home late from the city and there were a couple of security guards hanging out in the lobby. This made me a little nervous, not sure if this is a standard Saturday night thing but have never seen this before. Read more

We thought it would be a terrible experience when we saw that two professional soccer teams and 2 10 year old hockey teams were all staying here. Elevators took a long time and for some reason there was no access to the stairs.... Room was great, front desk took care ... of the noise around 9pm but everything else was decent. Stayed here last week with my boyfriend for my birthday. Zero complaints here. We loved it! Location was great for what we wanted to do, rooms were very clean and quiet. Pool was great- although it’s not a big pool nor is it deep, it was actually warm (unlike many ... other hotels where their pools are cold). Pool and hot tub were well maintained and clean. He booked us a room with a whirlpool jacuzzi and we really enjoyed having a bath together- we moved the tv from the tv stand and placed it on the half wall ledge and plugged in his laptop and enjoyed a movie while in the tub. Bed was very comfortable, slept great. Would happily stay here again without hesitation. Read more
