Reviews for Unchai Thai Restaurant in Vancouver, British Columbia
This Thai restaurant, I have to say, the fried noodles are absolutely delicious! They were filled with lots of veggies and we tried the duck flavor which was great. Another highlight was the Moo Tod Prik Thai Dum – definitely a recommended appetizer. Fried pork strips, a generous portion, crispy ... on the outside and tender on the inside. I will definitely come back for this dish! The service is also great. The staff were welcoming and patient, making sure we had a pleasant dining experience. Their friendly demeanor really added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. Highly recommend this place for the food and excellent service! To top it all off, we ended up with a glass of Thai iced tea which was perfect for cleansing the taste buds. I think I will definitely come back. Read more
Hidden Gem restaurant, The food is excellent similar savory tastes of the street food in Thailand ! Roti was amazingly the best ever tasted. Crispy and sauce was excellent. Jumbo Prawns were excellent ! Food portion were smaller than average though. Best for take away on a rainy day.
The best Moo grob I had, very crispy, pair with Pad Thai was such a fancy idea!! The food are incredible, great taste, and good portion with its price. We order crab meat curry as well it was a mild spicy, you can see lots of crab meat in the ... curry👍🏻 the space is small limited seat and very busy, but it’s totally worth it cause the food are so good Read more
Love the simple and authentic Thai flavours here! The boat noodle had lots of strong flavours in the broth and the pad Thai was perfectly cooked. We got the chicken pad Thai which could have been better with sliced meat instead of ground chicken. The place is very small so ... plan ahead and try to go off peak times. Takeout is always an excellent option though. Get the roti w condensed milk for dessert, it’s a must. Read more
Super tiny Thai restaurant located on Burrard street (about 7 seats inside but they also have some outside seating as well). Their dishes are unlike most run of the mill Thai restaurants that you find in Vancouver. We started off with the roti with curry sauce. It's a flatter and firmer ... roti with a more noticeable crunch to the bite. Good with the curry sauce (even better dipped in the curry entree we ordered). The gang kua curry chicken is a red curry but with a more complex flavour. I really liked this a lot. The fried chicken wings were light but crispy. It comes with dipping sauce but it tastes just as good without it. We also got the pad ga pao with crispy pork which is mixed with stir fried basil. It's a really good dish and the egg had a perfectly runny yolk. Make sure to go early because they filled up by 12:15pm Read more
