I was craving for Thai food tonight, so I came here with my husband and gave it a try. The restaurant was empty when we got there before 6pm. During the whole meal, only 3 more customers came into the restaurant for dinner. Not sure if the restaurant was not doing ... enough advertising or promotions, if their location is not good, or if there is too much competition in the neighbourhood. It seems there is less business here. We ordered a bowl of rice to go with spicy eggplants with pork and yellow curry with chicken and pad see iw with beef. I ordered one more bowl of Tom Yum Kai soup (single serving). All the dishes were okay, but not outstanding or authentic enough (to me at least) as I had really good and authentic Thai food somewhere else in Vancouver. These dishes were good enough to serve customers who did not have high standards on food and it was good enough as long as they felt tasty and filled up their stomaches. My husband and I felt that the dishes were more leaning towards the Chinese style, but there were more spices to add to each dish. Caucasians or Canadians would love their deep fried appetizers or dishes. Prices were decent. Not too expensive. It reflected on the portion of the dishes. Don't expect they have huge portions. One thing that needs to be emphasized though. The customer service was good. The server was very polite and friendly and we asked her to recommend some popular dishes to us. Regarding parking, I recommend to park in the residential areas and walk to the restaurant. There is street parking or pay parking right on Fraser or outside the restaurant; however, it is a busy street. I personally don't like to do parallel parking on a busy street. Why not park at resident areas that are free and just walk to the restaurant, agree?? Read more
