Decent thaj cuisine. Very busy and short staffed therefore long waits for food. I would go back to tte pad Thai. Dont think I got the right dish. Nice thai beer selection, with chang eer and singha!
This is now my favourite Northern Thai restaurant. I was able to get decently spicy Thai food. Most places don’t make it spicy enough and if they do it’s not with fresh chili’s . The Laab with pork was what I’d call Thai spicy. Not crazy ... spicy but just right for me and my family. I also ordered one of the flat rice noodle dishes which was one of the lunch specials and got it Thai spicy and it was good too. What I like is that this place makes more of a northern style food like Chiangmai or nearby regions. I really want to come again. I guess the only dish that was just basic was my daughters green curry lunch special but then green curry isn’t that spicy but for some reason it wasn’t spicy at all and more sweet than anything, so she was just picking away at it. I guess because she looks more French Canadian they figured to give her the basic dish for western customers. lol. I’ll have to explain it next time. The khaki soi was decent as well. A bit sweeter than how we make it at home but my partner still liked it and liked the differences in the way we make it at home. So all in all we plan to come back again as soon as we can when we’re in the area. Read more
Tasty food but the wait is ridiculously long and it’s pretty expensive for the portions you get. They held some tables empty for reservations but the amount of time we waited, we could have totally taken the table, finished eating and they would still be able to flip the table. I would ... not recommend the papaya salad or fried rice - not very flavourful. I would recommend the Tom yum soup, skewers and mango sticky rice dessert. Read more
Was feeling a bit hungry after pickleball and decided for an earlier dinner. My wife and I don't normally dine in this area, but like to try out new restaurants any where. This one was on the way home. Glad we stopped and our we arrived just ... before they opened. Every dish we had was tasty. Enjoyed every dish and would order them again. This time with our friends we ordered more common Thai dishes, but will feel comfortable ordering different ones next time. Recommend and will return. BTW this restaurant has been around for nine years and is family run. A real gem. PS Lots of free parking north of Hastings and at the Van East parking lot behind the old and now demolished London Drugs. Read more
I ordered for pickup and 7 dishes were ready. Drove to work and ate lunch meal. The quality held up and food tasted good. When I went in to get food, AC was working, so good place to have a meal and not feel the heat wave.
