Taiwan Taipei Original Pot - Vancouver, British Columbia

Been here a few times because our friends like it and it’s one of the only things open when we want to eat after art class. I don’t like the service here. The food is ok. The restaurant is empty and they want to jam 7 of us into a ... table meant for 5. Last time I felt sick but our friends daughter like it and I hope I don’t fall... Fall... Fall down the toilet hole. Great lunch combos with authentic Taiwanese utensils and bowl. Food was great followed by the usual Taiwanese great service. It's just a little warm in the shop while eating due to the summer heat.

Tasty wine chicken pot, cooked in the courses. Novel idea. While it's tasty, it is overpriced on my opinion.

Their lunch boxes were very authentic Taiwanese in taste and appearance. Perhaps one of the most authentic I have had in the past 2 decades in Vancouver. Have yet to try their pots though as they are quite pricy. Probably would be better if you have a larger group ... to share the cost. Read more

The place is nice and cozy. The food was mediocre and was quite expensive for the amount given. What was most unpleasant however was the service. We came in from Alberta and wanted a nice dinner with all of our family here in Vancouver so we ordered three pots. After ... 20min, thinking that we have ordered already, the waitress asked us what we wanted....so we repeated our order to her again. After a long wait (again), one of the pots came in and the waiter gave four people rice, out of a party of 12... Expecting the other two pots to arrive quickly after, the four people started eating while the rest of us stared in blank space and chatted awkwardly. The two other pots arrived another 15min later. We would understand if the place was packed, but there were five tables at most for six waitresses to attend. We felt awkward and confused throughout our dinner.. would not come back for a long time.
