The Teahouse - Vancouver, British Columbia

A beautiful restaurant at the Stanley Park close to the beach with stunning view to the harbour. There’s a comprehensive menu and beverage selection. The two dishes we have are awesome. Professional service. The outside seatings are superb.

We have seen the Teahouse restaurant many times during our trip to Stanley park over the last 18 years. We decided to try it out for our daughters’ birthday last Thursday evening. And it turned out to be a good choice. Online reservation was done a week in advance. Be mindful ... of commute hour traffic if you have reservation on a weekday evening . We were seated promptly and they confirmed that it is a special day for us. Caroline was very warm and helpful with the menu choices. You can see our food and drink choices in the photos. Compared to other similar restaurants I felt the food was more flavourful while not as expensive. They even brought birthday special cake on the house for my daughters. Location is amazing. We enjoyed a family dinner to celebrate one of our children’s graduation from UBC. The location, the quality of the food and service were excellent. Would highly recommend to others. A great backdrop for photos too. Friendly service. No pressure tactics to buy booze was much appreciated unlike some other restaurants. ... It took a little longer than we expected for the meals, but when food arrived it was perfectly cooked, plates warm, fish not overcooked. Well worth the small wait time. Read more

First of all, for the mains, I had braised lamb shanks with truffle risotto which was absolutely exquisite. Arguabley the best lamb I've had in Vancouver. The desert - a strawberry shortcake was also prefect. However, the garlic shrimp was a massive disappointment and while the cocktails were decent, they ... weren't great compared to the rest of the meal. The wait staff were nice except the hostess, who was quite dismissive when we got in. Our waiter was great however. So its a blend of good and bad with this place but some of the food was absolutely top notch! I will definitely go again. Read more

Spectacular premium location and amazing view to the ocean. Service was good and staff are nice. Food is average and not as good as atmosphere. Paid parking is available (~$4 an hour) Prices are reasonable. Surprisingly tea was not anything special at teahouse.
