The Sandbar Seafood Restaurant - Vancouver, British Columbia

The oysters, halibut, scallops, sushi and cheesecake were all phenomenal! The views from the rooftop were amazing! We had a wonderful meal with gorgeous views and would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area!

Had dinner here with work colleagues and we enjoyed our experience here. The location and restaurant itself has an awesome aesthetic with the boat inside and decor. They had live entertainment with someone singing and playing the piano. It has plenty of seating space and the waiters were great. The ... tuna app was unreal! I could've had that all evening but proceeded with the Pan Seared Artic Char with potatoes instead of rice. The fish tasted delicious and the potatoes were great! As someone who enjoys seafood, this was one of my favourite spots. Read more

Spacious restaurant with nice ambiance. Great variety of menu items that has something for everyone; reasonably priced too considering the location and portion size. While everything we’ve ordered was delicious, but I highly recommend the seafood boil—especially if you’re a big seafood fan, as this has a bit of everything. Not sure why there are so many 5 stars. I’ve eaten here 3 times and all times have been underwhelming, but the most recent time me and my partner went was less than pleasant. We ordered the seafood linguine and it came with a moldy clam. The server said it’s ... possibly the pesto but the clam came partially closed and when we opened it, grey sludge came out and contaminated the rest of our food. Our server was kind enough to replace our food, but we definitely lost our appetite after. We also ordered 4 oysters, they only had one type in stock and it was $4.25 each oyster. When they came out I couldn’t help but laugh, the oysters were TINY. The picture doesn’t do it justice, I thought most of it must have fallen out or something. The location is nice and the service wasn’t bad but there needs to be better quality control on the food. For the price, I won’t be going here anymore or recommend this place to anyone. The site of this restaurant is so unique - located beneath Granville St/BC99 amongst the bridge girders. The seafood was so fresh and we shared dishes to enjoy a variety. Perfect to chow down after several hours observing Cooper the Orca and Graze the Humpback on the Prince ... of Whales Whale Watching tour.
