My friend and I got the oysters, the jambalaya, and the crispy calamari. The oysters were pretty fresh, the jambalaya was decent though I can't compare it since it was my first time trying jambalaya, and the crispy calamari was surprisingly good! It does not look like your typical calamari rings ... but rather comes in thick fry shapes. It was fresh and it didn't has a fishy taste at all. The hidden jewel on the corner Yew street and west 1st avenue! The food is absolutely delicious and the service is top notch. Very fair price! Recommend this amazing restaurant!

It was my first time at this restaurant for breakfast and it was a delightful experience: calm morning atmosphere with very happy and friendly staff around. Ambience and service is good. Food has fallen off. I’ve been frequenting this location since 2014. It has always straddled the line between decent and good. I’m not sure what they have done with their chefs recently but what we had tonight and paid a premium for was not good. We ... ordered a burger, mussels and Brussels sprouts: I think once upon a time what we ate was a Brussels sprout, but what arrived was a black mound of mush. The mussels were off and tasted like I would probably get sick from them later and undercooked. Mind you I am a FIEND for mussels and these I had to struggle to eat and gave up. The burger was fine. Loved the selection of oysters, and they were so fresh! I have also always loved their fried chicken because it is crunchy and a little sweet. Would definitely recommend their chicken and waffles though I got their chicken and grits this time. I didn't like the broccoli in the chicken ... and grits, mostly because the broccoli soaked up a lot of vinegar-y dressing and it was really sour.
