Picked up the 3 vegetarian salad deal for $11.99. The pasta salad was yummy with lots of olives, roasted tomatoes and artichoke hearts. For a grocery store, Meinhardt is great to find great tasting produce and food. However, as a hot food lunch bar, it leaves much to be desired. This Butter Chicken in their Hot Bar section was considered a Large and costs $11.32. Although there is no denying they definitely offer great ... chicken options for protein, I do not think the cost justifies the means. The Curry I would classify as medium thickness, not too thick but not watered down. Lovely chunks of Chicken, wasn't dry but also was not soft. The rice was quite standard. Read more

Very Friendly staff, and a very nice selection of high quality groceries, hot foods, and most importantly their desserts! 😋 Just wish I had the money to afford some of the stuff in here. Heheheh!

Meinhardt Fine Foods is one of my favorite places to eat hot food on the go in Downtown Vancouver. I like their hot food bar, fresh, delicious, and the price reasonable. I love the sweet spicy pork meatballs, korean spicy beef and vegetables chow mein, curry butter chicken and fried ... pan fried vegetables. They all taste delicious, and not too salty. One time I saw the staff throw a cloth and it landed on the food and then he just removed it.Hopefully they will be more careful, especially during the pandemic. They also make lots of fresh bakery, pre-made foods and have a big selection of high quality products too. Staff at the checkout counter are nice but the manager at the hot food bar can be more friendly. Read more

The food here was definitely delicious and healthy but the price is more on the pricey side. I got a small bowl or rice and potatoes with curry and I was very surprised to hear it was $11.57 as it was barely half full. However that being said, you ... can always control the portion side and adjust. Id recommend their butter chicken and roasted potatoes (on the hot table) as they are decent.
