Pizza is a funny thing... It's pretty simple to make well so it's not hard to find decent pizza in Vancouver. Barbarella takes theirs a notch above well, to excellent. I had the Filetti and added sausage (excellent, and I suspect, made in house). My partner had the Cavolini. The space ... is pretty basic but we liked the local art featured on the walls. The service was also pretty basic but the lack of polish didn't detract from the great pizza. One last note... we've ordered for delivery but if you want the best flavours, fresh out of the oven is unbeatable. Read more
Nice rustic looking restaurant that opens early in the afternoon with a limited menu. We ordered Balboa and Cavolini pizzas to share. The balboa pizza was unnecessarily spicy that it was overpowering all the ingredients on the pizza. We ordered a dip ($2) to cut the spiciness, otherwise it would’ve been ... wasted. The other pizza was good, but the spicy pizza really took away the joy of food. Read more
One of our favourite pizzas in town, albeit a little on the pricey side. Lots of great options and the salads are a good size. The only downside is the atmosphere, which is sometimes like a kids’ playground when we've been there. We were there on a Saturday night and ... kids were running around in one corner when the dad wasn’t holding them upside down or tickling them for added shrieks. So, not great for date night or a cozy chat. But evidently great for families who want to kick back. Read more
Great little pizza place in the Mt. Pleasant neighborhood if you're looking for more unique flavours. Prices are slightly premium but the food tastes delicious. The atmosphere is nice and the staff are professional.
I tried this place at Club Kitchen and order a sandwich, more like a MINI sandwich (2 mini pieces of what you see in photo), not even a trace of sausage (zoom in photo and you’ll find nothing) ! I’ve tried other Italian sandwiches like Il Saltimbocca or la Grotta del ... Formaggio and for the same price you’ll get double or triple the food and delicious, I would never go back to this place and definitely will not recommend, disappointed!!! Read more
