Good middle Eastern eatery but I expected more. Saj bread options for wraps is a great touch, but the Saj bread didn't taste great. The zaatar in the cheese and zaatar manakish was overdone (picture attached) and completely overpowered the taste of the dish. It's a strong flavor and needs to ... be used carefully, and needs to be spread evenly, which it wasn't. The fries were great, and the spicy potatoes were okay. Have been craving for middle eastern food ever since our turkey 🇹🇷 trip. When we lived in Toronto, we used to go to this place a lot but it has been ages since we came here again. The place and servers were nice, but the food was dreadfully salty! And this is coming from a guy who likes and adds salt to his food. The tabouleh salad was extremely salty and we could even have another bite. We had too main dishes and they were both too ... salty, but the tabouleh was the worse. Extremely clean inside and staff were attentive. Place was busy in a good way when we came for a late lunch on a weekday. The cheesy chicken shawarma boat was unlike anything I’ve ever had and highly recommend. I would also return to have the manakeesh cheese it was so ... good, the fresh ground thyme with olive oil was so tasty. I wouldn’t recommend the beef manakeesh as the top of the bread had too much moisture and had a gummy texture but I’d like to try the pizza next time.
