Ordered curry pork chop on rice for delivery. When it arrived, the curry was in the rice already. there was very little curry sauce. When I called to inquiry, they said it their on special item and thus there is less curry and they pour the curry ... sauce into the rice for delivery. If I wanted the regular item, there would have been more curry in a separate container and it would have cost more. First time in this spot. Food was good. Hainan chicken is not as good as the main chef has been transferred to new North Vancouver location soon to be open.

Super busy location and parking is hard on a holiday. We had to park few blocks away and walk. We were put into a back room which is cold and forgotten. There was a call button but they’re so busy it would take 10-15 mins to come back. Food was ... good but smaller portion. Been eating here at mui garden for 20+ years! Food is always as stable and very tasting! Loved the hainanese chicken and curry brisket the best! I would really recommend people coming here to fill their stomach!

I’ve visited Mui Garden since I moved here from Asia and this location on Victoria in the last 5 years. Prices have gone way up and many dishes suffered quality decline or ingredient changes, but the iconic curry beef brisket hasn’t been touched which is great. But the one time I ... do a review they’re sold out of curry beef brisket! That’s their best dish and most consistent, with a generous portion. I recommended this to so many Chinese friends and they all love it. Note it is Chinese style curry, so it’s savoury with body but not too thick, it’s delicious. Brisket is tender and flavourful, the rice is perfectly cooked and plentiful (combo and full size). This time we got sweet and sour pork, which was fresh and the pan fried beef noodle, which was just okay for the price but it was filling. Their Shanghainese fried noodle used to be made with real yellow Shanghai noodle and was REALLY good, but this location only has udon fried noodle now which is so disappointing. Cleanliness is just alright but by HK Cafe standard it is good. Cash and debit payments, I think they take credit now but it costs extra. Go pay upfront by the way. As a Chinese person who speaks the dialect and was raised overseas, I think their service really, really sucks and they might ignore you and be rude, but it doesn’t seem discriminatory because they treat me, a Chinese person who speaks the language, the same way.
