Delicious as always! Fresh made and done well. Corn tortillas and chips are made fresh unlike chain restaurant versions. Nothing can compare. You get a good amount of food for the price. The atmosphere is very low key but feels authentic, like you are in a pueblo in El Salvador. ... Don't miss out on this restaurant to get all the ooey gooey and leave satisfied. Read more
Honestly really disappointed to have to write this. This used to be my favourite pupusa place for my friends and I in Vancouver. But today we waited 1.5 hours for our food just to not get served and watched 2 tables that walked in way after us get served before ... us. For context we ordered 9 pupusas as a table of 3. This is the longest I’ve ever waited for food such a small amount of food. He didn’t even seem apologetic at all just continued to help other customers while ignoring us. Mind you we are repeat customers and always tip really well. I’m honestly just disappointed this felt very disrespectful on their part. The food is good and the prices are decent but I won’t be coming back anymore. Read more
Took some friends here while we were in Vancouver when the other spot we picked for pupusas was closed. The place is definitely a hole-in-the-wall. The server was weird he refused to speak English even though half of our party was clearly not Latino. Then when my friend was ordering he ... insisted she order more food and badgered her to order more food even though she didn't want to...making her uncomfortable. The server did not bring our drinks even after the food came out, I had to get up to get our drinks. The food was not bad. The pupusas were well-made. Price wasn't too cheap or expensive. The thing that really hurt this spot was when we were checking out the owner said they don't take cards even though it's marked as taking both debit and credit cards and insisted we pay in cash, so our friend had to go to the ATM to pay for our food which was crazy. The business clearly marks itself as taking credit + debit on its page and its the only place in all of Vancouver where this happened and we ate out everyday for weeks. I would not return and don't recommend it. Read more
Wayyyy to expensive. The flavour of the pupusa is good, but they don’t use the traditional cheese so it’s taste a little bit different. The huarache it’s really good, big, and if I knew before I will only order this and not the pupusa. The place looks meeeh, it’s all over ... the place. A bar that looks like it belongs to a beach club, crooked words on a wall, a tv full of cables that wasn’t even turn on and probably doesn’t work and the service was… more bad than good. Read more
I was introduced to Rinconcito by my El Salvadoran friend 20 years ago. Since then we have made Papusas from Rinconcito a regular in our home. Occasionally we will dine in, but normally we order them to go and enjoy them at home. It is a family run ... restaurant and the Papusa’s are out of this world delicious. We often order extra salsa and cortido, as they are such a nice addition. Read more
