I had an amazing experience of Mexican food. The atmosphere is just perfect. Nice people willing to assist you and provide good service. Overall, the food is amazing. I ordered some margaritas. We had a get together at La Mezcaleria. The margaritas were yummy. We ordered pico de gallo and chips and ceviche fresco and chips to start. The chips were crispy and held the salsa and ceviche well. We decided to try the molcajete de la casa. ... It was delicious. The chorizo, prawns and ribeye were seasoned well in a cheese fondue. Our friends ordered similar variations. The service and atmosphere was great. A couple of minor complaints. One of the washrooms did not have soap and after wrapping the cheese fondue and ribeye with the soft tortillas my fingers were a little greasy! Also there were 5 of us and three were seated on the bench sharing table space for two so it was a little uncomfortable for one of them. Love this spot - best Mexican I've found in Vancouver! I've been here for dinner a couple of times but the food is always so good and exciting that I forget to take pictures. The queso fundido is fun and delicious (especially with mushrooms) and the vegetarian burrito is FANTASTIC! Service ... is a bit slow, though it does get super busy so understandable. I think it might just be my new favorite for Mexican food. Great seasoning, and good portion sizes. The service was great, the drinks were very good. However, the music was way too loud, which made it really hard to talk, and I did find it to be a bit more expensive ... than other Mexican restaurants in the same range. Staff were friendly and cool under pressure even through a busy service. Food came out fantastic, even if some were not to my tastes. The space is fairly crowded and loud and I wouldn't recommend bringing more than just a few people, but otherwise a decent dining spot to visit at ... least once. Read more
