Greatest Japanese catering experience ever! Definitely had a blast with my friends and everyone enjoyed it. Foods are fresh and yummy, nomom! Thank you Chef Reg for the service. Looking forward to have Yui for another event soon! 100% Recommended.
I ordered Yui’s party trays for a company event today. First of all, thank you very much Reg and his team for coordination and help! The event went well. Plus, all the guests including my company loved the Abril sushi, special rolls and oshi sushi! They tasted great with good ... quality and presentation! I heard all the compliments but no complaints! That’s awesome!! I would highly recommend this sushi restaurant to others. I know Miku and Minami also sell aburi and oshi sushi, but they are quite expensive and the quality is dropping. Yui Japanese Bistro has great sushi with great presentations. You can order them for your own or for any events. I would suggest to order the party trays in advance (for example days in advance) and make sure you specify the time, date and location. I personally and literally want to order their aburi and oshi sushi for myself tomorrow 😬😍 just love them! Read more
Update: the staff helped investigate the incident and gave me a very clear overview of what occurred. I respect it when things are rectified for the better. I will be a loyal patron here as they deserve it. I found a thin rope in my chashu and found hair in my ... chicken karaage in the exact same order! I discovered this place a couple weeks back and ordered from it over five times since it seemed so good and that I wanted to support a local business during these times. I'm thoroughly disappointed that my new favourite restaurant (now former) would have these types of standards. I only discovered these two transgressions because I felt something unchewable in my mouth! God knows what else I ended up eating without noticing. I think I should take a break from here for the time being until they rectify this issue. Read more
I've heard from my friend that this place has one of the best aburi. I wasn't disappointed that's for sure. When we sat down the waitress had a very restful face. We gave her the benefit of the doubt since she had to deal with 20+ customers all by herself. The wait ... time was scary though. We waited half an hour for three appetizers. The price also made my face pale. The menu barely had anything at all. When the food came, my face fell. The quantity was so little, it wasn't even enough for 2 people. The karaage only had 5 pieces. And it was $6.75 for 5 chicken nugget sized chicken. At least the taste was alright. A bit on the burnt side though. The aburi was a bit on the lighter side. Other stores actually have a saltier side. This place's aburi was indeed not that half bad! When we were leaving, one of the staff asked us how the food was. +1! Interacting with the customer :) He also apologized since they were short staffed. I'm glad we gave them the benefit of the doubt because they were indeed short a waitress. If only, the price was lower and the menu had more items, I would give this place a 5 star 🌟 Ps. Their washroom is HUGE!! Read more
The food here is exceptional. My friend brought me here because she loves it, I’m not sure I would have ended up here otherwise but I’m so glad I did. I’ll be thinking about that salmon for a long time. I already can’t wait to go back. This sushi is unlike ... anything I’ve had in Vancouver before. You have to try it! Read more
