Great sushi, service not so much so. Ordered take-out, the person read my order back to me confirming it. Upon arriving home I discovered they did not provide 1/3 of my order. I had to go back to get it, no offer to deliver it or for a price reduction. ... Didn't think I'd need to do it since many times previously it was not a issue, however this was a great example to always open and physically check each container before you leave the restaurant. Finished off a week in Whistler by hitting up this place after reading a few reviews and we were blown away. The staff was super friendly and the owner (I think) took extra care to help out with an extra accommodation since my gf recently developed a severe gluten allergy. ... Dined in alone and ordered a Cali roll with tempura bits and spicy mayo. Also a chopped scallop nigiri and miso soup. The Cali roll and nigiri were delicious and was presented well. We just tried this restaurant without any expectations, it turns out it was a very charming Japanese restaurant serving more than simple sushis. We were surprised by the different flavours, the complexity of the dishes, the freshness of the fish and the diversity of meals. The service was very ... welcoming and they gave very good suggestions. The food was served at a perfect pace in the right order and of course it was delicious and refreshing at the same time.
