Pepper Lunch Canada - Vancouver, British Columbia

We were craving this for a week now. Got the Kobe burger, curry beef and regular burger with a side egg. Fantastic flavours. Even captured the sizzle on video. Would love to bring the whole family back here again sometime.

I have visited the Richmond location of this restaurant a few times, and today we stopped by for a quick lunch while shopping in the area. We ordered salmon and beef rice and followed the instructions to mix all the ingredients in the hot bowl, which cooks them perfectly. The ... ingredients were fresh and the prices were fair. Would highly recommend coming here, interesting concept and very fast service. They bring the food out to you on an extremely hot plate and you have to mix it yourself but it is definitely worth it. The beef with an egg add-on is my reccomendation for a first time here.

Ordered a steak “meal” cost $21 with tax. Honestly, grossly overpaid for a pile of cheap bean sprouts, spoonful of boiled carrot and beans and some unseasoned beef. It arrived on a sizzling plate. The novelty quickly wore away because my beef was raw on arrival, so I couldn’t start ... eating for some time. I like my meat quite rare but it was cold. So I waited for it to cook on the “grill” after which it became a soggy grey mess sitting in the juice of the boiled down bean sprouts. The sauce they provided had no taste. Honestly it felt like prison or hospital food where they serve you boiled, bland food. Even the rice was sticky and over cooked, grains were stuck together in starchy gloop. Great place to grab a bite to eat! Service is very friendly and efficient. Food is simple but has a nice concept of it coming out on a hot plate for you to cook yourself. Be warned that it can get very busy during the lunch hours due to the ... many businesses around. Convenient location as it’s situated right next to the two Canada Line station. Highly recommended!
