Fingerlicking delicious japanese Curry! You can smell the scent of the Curry a few Meters from the Restaurant, wich lured me into the Restaurant. I took the regular Chicken Curry, wich was a awesome expierience of taste. A highly recommendable place in Vancouver, located Close to the City Hall and the City Hall ... I was quite disappointed with this curry and can only give 2/5 stars. As someone very familiar with Japanese curry, this did not measure up to others I've had. The flavor was far too salty, one-note, and lacked any real spice complexity compared to curries from Coco Ichiban or specialty ... restaurants in Japan. It tasted like instant boxed curry powder. The chicken katsu was dry and had no tender flake to it (see picture). The hamburger had an odd, off-putting spice flavor that I did not enjoy. Overall, I would not recommend this curry. The execution and flavor profile needs significant improvement to achieve the balanced richness I expect in a Japanese curry. The chef should revisit the recipe and cooking techniques to reduce excessive salt, boost the spice blend, and properly cook the proteins. As it stands, it is edible but inferior to most other curries in this genre. Read more

The most delicious japanese curry! The curry is imported from Japan and made in-house with their own special touch. ( unavailable for purchase in the canadian market )The staff took their time to explain how the curry was made and the cashier was very polite and did her very best ... to give me details about the food and the process. The food is delicious, highly recommend their pumpkin croquette, but the air quality inside the store is very bad. The oil smoke in the kitchen cannot be dissipated. After dine in, all clothes and bags will be stained with the smell, which is difficult to remove. Store is small, do ... not have too many seats, have to avoid dine in at peak hour. Read more

The best spot in Vancouver for katsu curry, the sauce has a depth of flavor that you don't get anywhere else. It's relatively mild, so if you like spicy food you can probably order the highest spice level (4) without fear.
