Reviews for Kaide Sushi in Vancouver, British Columbia
My #1 sushi place in Vancity! Friendly, unique atmosphere. Chief was super nice! I had mako roll and Torino roll - bangers! Fresh, tasty, and beautiful!
Kaide Sushi on Richard Street in Downtown Vancouver is a fantastic dining option. The restaurant offers a wide variety of fresh and delicious sushi. The fish is always of high quality and the presentation is impeccable. The staff is friendly and attentive, providing excellent service throughout the meal. The ambiance ... is inviting and the restaurant is always clean. Overall, Kaide Sushi is a top-notch sushi restaurant in Downtown Vancouver. Read more
The sushi was fresh. Very friendly service. The atmosphere was sparse and lacked warmth, it was clean. I did find the price up there for common sushi rolls and you get charged for the tea. $$
For me, this place fell below the current standard of Sushi Vancouver. The overpriced Miso Soup was so concentrated that... I couldn't eat it (see pic.) I say overpriced because the $2.50 for a Miso Soup is above current prices in the city....moving on.... The Sushi itself was decent, but the environment took ... away from the quality of the dishes. It was dark, gloomy with lights burnt out and dusty tables. Our server was unfriendly and rushed us from beginning to end. The first thing that hit me after walking out disappointed was the thought that this place just needs some serious TLC. Maybe dust it off a bit.....metaphorically and literally. Read more
Visited twice within 2 weeks. Tried a few combos, overall food ingredients were nice & fresh. Horenso Gomaae, Unagi Don, Spicy Tuna Sashimi, Assorted Nigiri, Assorted Rolls.... all were very tasty. Miso soup was good at the first visit. It was too salty at the second time (a bit disappointed). There was quite a ... strong fishy smell when we stepped in the restaurant (the ventilation wasn't very good). Windows were not very clean. There were flies flying around that really annoyed us. One fly even landed on my almost finished Unagi Don... Service was attentive, especially from the owner (Master Chef). He was very friendly & courteous. If the ventilation is better (air-conditioned) & the entrance door can be kept closed to avoid flies, this restaurant is worth to visit. Read more
