The sweet and sour chicken and the Yaki udon were so good and I’d recommend to try them. Compare to other Japanese restaurants, this one has more tables that suits a larger group like 6-8 people.

Was very hungry and went in a little after 10 PM for dinner with my partner to Gons last night... one of the most disappointing meals she and I have had in our lives. We order the Butter shrimp, their Premium Wagyu Tataki and pint of Asahi. The 6 pieces ... of batter fried shrimp came unseasoned and on bed of chunky sliced white onion...it had nothing going for it except maybe that it was fried correctly. However, the most disappointing thing on the menu was their Wagyu Tataki which again came on bed on chunkily sliced onion. The "seared AAA beef" were in fact 6 thin slices of raw, tendinous, fibrous beef that definitely wasn't Wagyu and definitely wasn't AAA grade. Despite complaining to the server the management did nothing to address it. We are extremely tolerant customer, my partner who has worked in kitchen before always plays the devil's advocate when there are errors at a restaurant but this was sheer neglect by the kitchen on so many levels... the whole experience especially the beef dish lacked effort, quantity, quality amongst other things. In fact I felt cheated for paying almost $20 for some raw, low grade, cheap cut of meat pretending to be Wagyu. If I wanted to each a platterful of chunky sliced, white onion for dinner then I would have walked down to the Safeway and bought some. Please save your money and your taste buds. I came for the dine out menu. The appetizers were excellent but that’s all. The main dish weren’t so good, dessert is pretty normal, not bad but not something I would get. So the dine out set come with rice and miso soup, we got 2 set, A and B but ... only one miso soup and rice was served. We were full so didn’t ask for those. I also think it’s weird that the set comes with rice, like how are you eating tempura with plain rice? The servers were nice but service was slow. They did NOT check for vaccine card when customers entered the restaurant. They didn’t check ours and other customers. I wish the dinner dine out set was smaller, and the main dish is more interesting. I should’ve come for lunch instead. Read more

Nice Japanese style Izakaya restaurant in downtown! I felt like I’m in Japan... I tried Dine out menu and it was worth it! I surprised that they seres aperitif...(you can see on picture) and hot tea after the dinner. Good staff service, I recommend here!

The PORTION!!!! It was unexpectedly large and fulfilling. The menu are quite authentic and many variation of foods. Not much variation on drinks. Vegetarian friendly and some vegan friendly dishes. The toilet was very clean. Really liked the Japanese egg omelette😊✨ Good for family, friends, groups.
