The freshly fried Katsu slices were thoughtfully laid on top of the curry on top of rice so each piece was half soaked in curry flavour and half crispy deliciousness. Located right across from the central library. Busy at lunch time and they have a few premade options for cheap, $4.95 a bowl. I ordered the double meat curry. Overall decent amount of food and value. There would have been more sauce on the food.

An affordable decent lunch option! Each bowl of basic udon + topping came out to $11-12. Both bowls were a bit underseasoned though. Water bottles are an extra charge.

I tried ebi-ten after a long day of teaching and walking. I ordered a second miso soup for about a dollar after I was finished and liked it. Is the food cheap? Their soup was, but see the menu I’ve uploaded to judge it yourself. I went there to have sushi ... but they said they had it for lunch or something so instead I had teriyaki chicken. I really enjoyed the first bites, but taking the last ones I felt I didn’t love the smell of my food or soup. Overall, it was an okay experience. The ambience was okay but maybe too small. The street board advertisement got me with the tako bombs which we discovered has octopus in a fried batter. After eating so much along the walk through Robson, it was nice to see a venue offer quick bites to have a taste of their menu!! Pay and order first and ... then pick up, enjoy at a table for 2 since it’s a small restaurant and then clean up your table after and place trays in designated area. Simple and easy. The tako bombs were pretty good but it definitely needed some hot sauce so we bought some for about $0.30Cad not bad but usually it’s a free condiment for us. It definitely brought out the flavors! The karage chicken was also a good find! If I had room in my tummy I would have grabbed some spam musubi!! Looked good!! Read more
