The food is decent. Service can be spotty especially when it's a packed lunch house with the server frantically trying to keep up. Consistency in food quality could also be improved. Pretty good food in an unusual location. Been here a few times both times the restaurant was very quiet. Feels it used to be a bar that was taken over by a Japanese restaurant. Clubhouse Japanese offers a variety of dishes including okonomiyaki, takoyaki and sushi. Service is friendly and food arrives at your table at a steady pace. Overall dishes were affordable and portion sizes were generous. My only critique is that our toro sashimi was served partially frozen. The variety of options on the menu seem impressive at first, but on closer look, repetiviness is rampant. The same few options are created into different combinations. The yakisoba had all the flavours, but ... the noodles were undercooked and had some crunchiness to it - not necessarily a bad thing in terms of texture balance. Chicken karaage was juicy but lacked any crispiness of fried chicken. The rolls were so-so. Overall, a decent meal but there are much better Japanese restaurants in town. Read more
