Had amazing service!! We brought our kids...not all places are accommodating to parents with kids. Our server was amazing!! Made our whole experience amazing!! Great pizza, kids loved their pasta!! They also have live music, fun times!!!

Popped in for a 'quick pint' after running to make the offy next door at 9pm. Ended up leaving just before 11. Friday night with live music...wouldn't have any issues going back. Bar staff seemed to be on the ball :)

Worse experience ever. The menu is very limited and they seem very lazy to cook everything on the menu at once. I asked the waitress for pizza and she said the oven wasn't working. A couple minutes go by and I see that another customer was having pizza. I ... asked the waitress if the oven was working and she no. I was confused as to why other people were having pizza. She then said they were regular customers and they insisted to have pizza. I found it very rude and discriminated. Im never going back and neither are my friends and family. For the last couple years I walked past this place and peered through the windows, but never stepped inside. Each time, I saw groups of aging Italian men sitting outside sipping espresso and telling stories, or sitting at the bar watching Premier League football matches. And then the place closed up ... shop for a while. The sign was removed, and it looked like it was another hospitality casualty. But one day it was suddenly resurrected, with a new look. It looked like they may have over done it with the remodeling. The inside was revamped into a classy sports lounge. However, this newness may have turned away clientele. It has lost the chummy local charm. Now, when I walk past, the place is always empty. But I did stop in for breakfast last weekend. I ordered the Italian Breakfast Sandwich. It went down easily and delightfully, yet I must say the eggs in the sandwich were a bit runny. The coffee, too, was exceptional, and I certainly didn't break the bank here. Upon visiting Caffe Roma after its revamp, I left having a mediocre experience. We ordered the cheese plate ($18) which lists coming with jam, fruit, and olives. However when it arrived we did not get any fruit or olives and no explanation as to why. The server also mentioned the dish ... comes with "delicious" focaccia bread that's made in house. Yum! It did not include this either. It instead included four small slices of crostini bread because they were out. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable, and offered great drink suggestions. The patio has expanded and is a good option for outdoor seating on Commercial Drive. While their renovations were certainly an improvement, the space still leaves a lot to be desired. Good service, nice patio, and an okay atmosphere and food. Hopefully Caffe Roma will step up their food offerings considering the prices they charge (especially when there are other fantastic italian options on Commercial) or, at the very least, provide customers with the dishes as they are listed on the menu.
