We tried their Lamb Roganjosh and rice. The food was delicious; perfect balance of spices and flavour. The lamb portion was moderately big; rice portion was large. The ambience was not bad. I would like to try their other Indian dishes.
Chefs review- The cook here poured his heart and soul on the plate. Limited people for service in the restaurant, still floated a great Friday night service. The chicken korma was excellent and the only place in Canada I have had proper naan and roti which wasn’t stretchy (usually Baking ... Soda, Gluten extract added) The chicken in the biryani was first cooked in tandoor and then mixed in added a much layer of complexity. To my surprise the dine was great, and the team sent a house made water goblet pouches to accommodate the time. Like any great Indian restaurant, you can tell a lot about a restaurant through its green chutney and biryani. Try those two, and you will always know. I will be back, hungry for more! Read more
Had the lunch buffet at this place. For the price you're getting, it's awesome value. Endless warm naan bread, chai tea and a few hot dishes plus samosas for $13, can't beat that! A few of the dishes could be served warmer due to the lukewarm hot plates but given ... the size of the restaurant, I wasn't expecting much. It's still good stuff! Servers were friendly and helped explained a few items I haven't tried, really appreciate the enthusiasm! Not a fancy restaurant by any means but do go there for a quick Indian fix and you won't be disappointed! :) Thanks and I will be back definitely! Read more
Went during Italian day. The service started out extremely well, but was lacking by the end. After we had paid our bill, we were finishing our drinks and were asked by 2 different servers if we wanted anything else. Not sure if they didn't know we had paid, but it ... very much felt like we were being rushed. The food was yummy (the butter chicken bowl was incredible), but just a touch more expensive than we were hoping (I would say a 4, my partner 3.5). Another table was waiting much longer than they should have for food, water, and service. Read more
We found this restaurant on the Vancouver dine out list and the menu sounded delicious. We ordered the Zaffrani Malai Murg, Semolina Fried Fish for appetizers, Lamb Bhuna and Creamy Malai Kofta for entrees, and Shahi Tulsa and Srikhand Cannoli for desserts. We were also pleasantly surprised that each course ... came with a wine pairing included in the price. The food was amazing and service was top notch. The staff was super friendly and felt very personable. Read more
