Reviews for Elephant Garden Creamery in Vancouver, British Columbia
Been here quite a few times, the ice cream is okay, their drink are not what you see on the pictures at all, but tasted fine. However, I don't know if they keep hiring new people, it seems like everytime I go, their employees are always so ... flustered. Parking have always been a challenge here, but for Commercial Drive it's not that hard to find parking. Read more
Pandan kaya toast - it was very good but wish the pandan flavour was more stronger however still enjoyed it! Mango coconut sticky rice - my favourite ice cream I tried there!! Highly recommend to try especially if you love mango! Thai milk tea - very good but Thai milk tea flavour ... could stronger as welll compared to the actual Thai milk tea! Still recommend to try any of these flavours as they were still very enjoyable! Would definitely go back to try their other flavours! Read more
Pretty good ice cream place on Commercial! I just went today and it was cold out, so it was quiet when I visited. Most of their flavours are heavily influenced by Asian tastes, such as Vietnamese coffee, Thai iced tea, Mango sticky rice, etc. Interestingly enough, they actually taste quite like ... the actual names of them. Today, I tried 3 flavours with my friends; Thai Iced Tea, Red Velvet + Raspberries, and Lychee Osmanthus. Red Velvet + Raspberries was rather bland, but the other two had strong tastes of their names, which I really liked! I don't think let you try a sample like some other local franchise ice cream shops. The place has about 5 tables to sit, so I would assume it would be quite packed during the Summer months. I would recommend this creamery if you are craving ice cream on Commercial, even though it doesn't really have much Italian-ness in it! Read more
The thing I didn't like was that THEY DON'T GIVE SAMPLES, so the risk of a win or a loss is there, mostly if you order just one flavour. It's a gamble. I didn't want to take the risk and went for the flight of 4 flavours. I got a ... flavour that I didn't like so I didn't finish -luckily I had 3 more that were ok, but I only loved 1 of them. Flavour-wise, there are other cozy, cute and delicious places that I prefer in the same area over this one, so I don't think I'll come again. Read more
We needed dessert so grabbed some ice cream. I ordered Lilikoi cheesecake over vietnamese coffee in a cup and my wife ordered mangococonut sticky rice over matcha honeycomb nugget in a waffle cone. The flavours were spot on and yummy. We ended up buying a pint ... of mangococonut sticky rice to take home. Definitely worth a stop here! Read more
