Bauhaus Restaurant - Vancouver, British Columbia

Went there last night with my wife. We had the tasting menu with wine pairing. The food was absolutely amazing. The wine was quite good. The service was ok. We liked the decor but noted that the atmosphere is a bit on the cold side - befitting the Bauhaus style.

This restaurant is placed in Gastown, the place looks very good and uniquely furnished. Staff is really cordial and professional. Beyond imagination of German gourmet which always presents winner or schnitzel ! Germany chef presented great culinary skill with fresh ingredients! Very high ceiling & modern dining room and nice atmosphere with great service staffs! Very good for celebration or anniversary of important day !

This is a great modern German restaurant in Gastown. I heard great things about their Wiener Schnitzel and went here specifically to try it out. The ambiance is very open and inviting. The German beer selection is very good. They were able to accommodate my food allergies quite easily. The ... chef even sent out a complimentary small appetizer. It was very tasty. Disappointed.I ordered two chicken two halibut as entree.Chicken were over cooked, dry and bland.Seasoning of the Halibut just nothing special, and one halibut was also over cooked. I would give one star to their chicken & fish entree based on my last experience.
