We ordered hamachi oshi aburi, which was so soft that it was almost impossible to lift with chopsticks without it falling apart. The important thing about making sushi rice balls (shari nigiri) is that they shouldn’t fall apart before reaching your mouth, and once in your mouth, the sushi rice ... should spread gently. I don’t think they applied the right amount of pressure so that a hollow forms in the center of the rice. The sushi rice balls tasted a little too sour, maybe because of too much vinegar. The $16 ebimayo only came with 4 shrimps, and it just tasted like fried shrimp. The food was okay but had no wow factor. The Unagi Tempura was definitely interesting. It was placed on bread with cucumber. I found it an interesting combination and it tasted good. I had the Foie Gras Don, and that was my favorite. The rice tasted so good with a nice amount of sauce, and there were 2 pieces of Foie Gras for $33 (large). Read more
