Megabite Pizza - Vancouver, British Columbia

I've ordered from here before. It use to be my pizza of choice on the drive. The last few times have not been very good. So, here's the latest. Last night I ordered two large pizzas $35- it's going to be 30 minutes to an hour. Ok.. An hour and a half ... later they show up dry and crunchy, it would be a stretch to call them warm. I see from the positive reviews that this place is really well-liked, so I was looking forward to getting takeout and had high expectations. I ordered online. Here's how my experience went: 1. They don't state how big the pizzas are (this is a corporate thing, not a franchise thing). 2. Ordering ... and making modifications was easy. 3. The approximate delivery time was 30 minutes. Pizza arrived 50 minutes after I ordered. My place isn't difficult to find. Maybe they were busy? I don't know. They should set better expectations. 4. Delivery driver was very friendly. 5. One pizza (Artichoke) was overwhelmingly salty. Like, inedible. Had to toss half of it. Modifications did not come as requested: I asked for caramelized onions and got plain onions instead. I resent paying $1.25 surcharge for 10 cents worth of plain, raw onion. 6. The other pizza (Taco) was pretty good, nice and flavourful, but lacked in toppings. I totally blew my diet here because I couldn't believe how much better than anyone else's really is.that crispy pizza crust! That cheese! Great ingredients handled perfectly and cooked to perfection. I wish this fabulous place were closer to where I live. I highly recommend.

I have eaten here plenty of times because it's the CLEANEST Megabite in East Van. Im not sure about you, but eating in a clean establishment makes everything taste better (and safer) and I'm happy to come back. we often get the poutine and the fries look golden- which means ... fresh frying oil. New owners, with friendly staff, tasty pizzas and a great variety to choose from. The location is great, a perfect place to grab a slice (or two, or a whole pizza!), right on the Drive. You will not be disappointed!
