Falafel King - Vancouver, British Columbia

I visited this place again after they recently reopened. I got a falafel platter and asked if I could have some rice with it, and he readily agreed. I was the only customer when I visited, and the guy who seemed like the owner explained what was on the platter ... as he assembled it, which was sweet. I was also lucky enough to get some fresh falafel, and they tasted nice. The portion was quite large, more than I could finish at once since I wasn't that hungry, but it still made me keep eating long after I felt full. Hair alert! Two bites into the chicken plate and pulled out long black hair from both bites. Threw away the plate after that.

From the outside it feels like a small place but step in and you will feel time has stopped. The person serving the falafel was nice and kind. Also the falafel wrap is huge n can easily fill up your hungry belly. Taste is amazing. Falafel was already fried n ... kept but were fresh but i prefer fried it and served piping hot but thats my personal choice. The place was nice and clean. But with all said and done. It was our first time trying Falafel King on Robson. We decided to try a mix of lamb and chicken shawarma; the portion was pretty generous. However, I found the flavors a bit on the bland side. The meat needed more spice kick. Overall, it was an ok experience.

Finally a place with good shawarma in Vancouver! The falafel was perfectly soft and crunchy, the tabbouleh was fresh, and the chicken/rice were well cooked and seasoned. And the hummus was delicious!!! Also came with a nice big pita. Definitely worth getting, and it's a great value for the price.
