Had the beef bourguigon and bistro salad with a few sides. Stingy on beef to be honest - mushrooms were the main here. Tasted a little light (not enough reduction). We were on their patio all afternoon. We genuinely had a good time. We had some beer and two bottles of wine and grabbed some food. I love this Jambalaya particularly. Very tasty, I’ll come back to have it for sure.

My son loves the Vancouver Canucks! So when they were heading to Game 5 of the first round of the play-offs in 2024 we headed to the west coast. Our first night he was researching a place to eat and found Burgoo, on Main St. Billy was our server and ... had some great suggestions for what to eat. He emphasized that their food was “Comfort Food” and all home made in their kitchen. My son had the Cuban Sandwich and FAB Salad. (Feta, Apples and Bacon) with red onions and some type of vinagrette. I had the Beef Bourguignon, which is a very flavourful beef stew over mashed potatoes. Both dishes were served on pottery dishes. The food was delicious and was indeed “Comfortable”! I've always loved this place! My partner and I dropped in tonight for our anniversary and had a great experience. The crab bisque has had my heart for years, tonight I got lucky and the chef hooked up a whole bowl with my sandwich! We truly had a stellar time, ... great music, cozy and delicious food! Did find it odd that all the staff were wearing only plaid shirts... I have previously always appreciated the lack of uniform at this laid back, rusticated restaurant. Read more

Visited this location for an early dinner. The kale salad was a little sad. Throw a bunch of garlic croutons and you have comfort food! The mac and cheese hit the spot and was pretty good.
