Slowly changing under new management and getting better. Careful for pickpockets in area, daytime best. Nice pub to grab a drink and smoke if possible. Thanks to new ownership! Cheers....will add stars soon as move goes well ....

I used to stay with my buddy rob. We would get high and stare at his broken tv n stuff. The manager was always interupting us wanting to borrow tools or money. He stole my skateboard. Told me he could find it for $20. Went to get the board but ... came back askin for a hit and no board. I pult my 3rd leg from my buds mouth and i screamed YOU GET OUT SCUMBAG!! This place used to be an old hotel. Now it's a home to folks in various recovery. Ground floor is a bar with karaoke🎤 with a kitchen that serves pub grub until 10pm. The beer is $4.50 which is 1/2 the price of other pubs in the area.

Nice place to live... if you like cockroaches, rats and scumbag management!!! The day before I moved in, "mgr" put my bike in an empty room, to store it overnight. When I moved in, the next day, my bike was nowhere to be seen. Not only was it a $700 bike, but there ... was a double saddle-bag attached over the rear wheel, containing my new $1,700 laptop and about $800 in tools (2 complete socket sets (metric & standard). Then, he said that if I loaned him $300, he would "absolutely be able to find my bike". A few days later, he tried to tell me that I came in "completely stoned out of my mind" and that I had lost all my money, so I still owed rent and security deposit. I've NEVER been that stoned and I absolutely knew that I had paid him. I reminded him that he promised to give me a receipt the next day and only "remembered" the conversation, when Carnegie Outreach challenged him on it. Since then... he has borrowed my Hilti impact drill, battery pack and charger... (haven't seen it since). In addition, I bought a mini fridge from him, for $70, but when I tried to collect it, he told me it "blew up" (hasn't returned my cash, yet). Then, he hired me to solve a leaking water pipe problem (never paid me) and offered me a job in maintenance in another SRO, which included a corner suite (huge) and SIX MONTHS FREE RENT, to compensate me for the loss of my bike and tools!!!
