Super impressed by their afternoon tea menu at their new Richmond location. I’ve been to over 10 different places for afternoon/high tea in Metro Vancouver and this is by far my favourite one. Presentation and flavours were terrific. Loved that the savoury items were a little different from the usual tea ... menus including salmon oshi sushi, crab tart, and miso glazed sablefish to name a few. Their cakes are super adorable🥰 I saw someone share their afternoon tea set on instagram, but when I came I realized the set and some other cakes need reservations in advance, you can call them or add them on WeChat. We ordered the coffee flavor, rose flavor and the bear one ... which is dark chocolate flavor. Our favorite is the coffee bean one as it has this strong coffee flavor but at the same time the taste is balanced and doesn’t make you feel overwhelmed. The bear one looks cute but the hard chocolate shell was a bit too hard to break. And the rose one is too creamy in my opinion, it’s hard to finish one without some drinks. We came here to celebrate my birthday, and we had an amazing time. Our server was very sweet and attentive! I loved the aesthetic and how pretty the dishware was. This is genuinely one of the best high teas I’ve ever had - the food was phenomenal and the desserts ... weren’t too sweet for me. We loved the savory items (especially the sablefish and hummus). Super cute high tea experience that is unique from others because they serve really tasty Japanese style food along with fancy desserts and treats! It does not look like much food but you are definitely full by the end. We were given complimentary pink sparking lemonade which was so pretty and ... refreshing. They also gave us a complimentary brownie ice cream bar and fruit. When the actual high tea food came out it was on a cool stand that spun in a circle. I loved all of the savoury dishes. We had sable fish, a piece of aburi, prosciutto on a biscuit, and more. I'm not usually a fan of sweets but I actually finished all of the sweet items that came with our high tea! I really enjoyed the mango one and even the strawberry mousse was good. You are given a choice of what flavor croissant to have and I really liked the cheese one. It paired well with the jam and creme! The decor inside is so cute and very pink. Our server was super sweet but I had to ask her for a few things such as a spoon to stir our tea with, and a spoon to eat some of the sweet deserts with. Highly recommend them for afternoon tea. They have 2 afternoon tea menus. One is their signature and the other is the savory. I think for photos, signature is best. If you have someone who doesn't have as much of a sweet tooth the savory set comes with 2 instead of one of each Savory ... item along with a few less sweets. The savory items made me think of Japanese inspired food. The tea felt French/Japanese fusion for me. The amount of food is not too much. My husband (who is a big guy) was hungry after, but I was happily satisfied (not overly full). It was a nice stop so that I could still try other foods after. The shop itself was much smaller than I expected. It has an intimate atmosphere. I'd recommend reserving the table in the back for more room if you like taking photos of your food (I do). It's next to a window and has a nice background. I'm looking forward to going back to try their other sweets at some point. The items in the case looked stunning. Did not check the parking situation as we got there by sky train. It's about a 10-15 minute walk I think. Read more
