This is a very popular place for tourists or locals. If you have a weekend visiting Vancouver, you should put this place in your list. This is not only a market but there are lots of interesting spots within this island and surrounding area. Actually, it is not an island ... but you can ride ferries in the False Creek 9 docks getting around the whole area. A great place for eat, shop, drink, browse around, rent a boat or a little cruise in the creek. There are too many foods in the whole area. Fresh food, good bakeries, pies, donuts, fresh fruits and flowers, raw food, seafood, fresh make pasta and many more. If you don't travel with a car, the best way is getting a day pass from 2 ferries companies in the island. You can buy your day pass in the ferry. It cost $20 and $18 for senior and kids. There are 9 docks around the False Creek. Take you time have fun there. The food court is very busy. If you plan eating the food outside and enjoying the view, please be aware of the aggressive seagulls. If you are lucky, may be you will meet an eagle patrol the dock area. You can talk to the handler. The eagle is good protector for us and our lunch. Read more
