Reviews for Laura’s Wok in Vancouver, British Columbia
Echoing the sentiments of everybody else: lovely little place, staff take good care of you, simple, cheap and filling food, and I would highly recommend anyone make a quick detour to grab lunch or breakfast
Just happened to be walking by around 10 am, when on the corner of the street I seen the sandwich board out front for this little shop, and seen a couple of construction workers heading in from one of the nearby job sites most likely, so I ... decided to give it a ttry, as these kind of little shops are usually always great especially for home made style food rather than fast food outlets type of quick bites. At first glance the place was kept clean and tidy, the waitress was very welcoming and friendly. The Menu is Canadian and Chinese food and All Day Breakfast. I decided on a Club House Sandwich with a REAL Mango Smoothie. The Food was very quick to arrive, nice and hot. The Sandwich was delicious and had plenty of cheese and bacon, they weren't skimpy on it which is great and why I love these little Mom and Pop type places. Total after taxes was $14.50. Definitely Reasonable. If I happen in the area again I will definitely come here again. Read more
Employees are so kind with genuine smiles. The berry mix smoothie is top notch and such good price too! Wide choice of good as well.
PLEASE READ WITH A SMILE -- This is one of the last authentic "old school" mom & pop cafes in Vancouver. The food is simple (but not great), price is awesome (but not free), ambience is charming (hasn't been updated since 1980), But I truly love this place. Perfect spot ... to take a best friend, or to sit alone and reflect on simpler times. $12.95 gets you soup, sandwich, fries and coffee. Read more
These places are getting harder and harder to find, and even harder to continue going back to as their prices are starting to creep up there with the hipster black metal lumberjack millenial tattooed-arm pronoun-centric food establishments of the city. The vibe here is always relaxed, but the food ... is getting worse. The eggs benedict sauce was just thickened Knorr's bouillon on eggs and rubbery ham. It is giving Bon's Off Broadway a run for the money in the hot garbage department. The toast could have been amazon prime boxes with margarine on it. Help me help you. Nice folks and free wi-fi.
