A true hidden gem in Richmond. The low ratings on Yelp and Google don't do the justice. They serve the best Shanghainese food I've had in recent years. I recommend every dish we got. Unlike some other Shanghainese restaurants, their food doesn't taste too oily or heavy. Spring Onion Sauce Stirred Noodle 蔥油開洋拌面** - Deep Fried Pork Steak 上海炸豬排** - Deep Fried Steamed Gluten 上海特色烤麩 - Wonton Soup (Pork and Vegetable) 薺菜大餛飩 I've been constantly searching for good sheng jian bao, and I found one that lives up to my expectation here. Each piece had a half-fluffy half-crispy texture, with a golden bottom and juicy pork fillings. The buns were made to order, so it came piping hot. My second favorite was the scallion stirred noodles. It was a simple, humble yet fragrant dry noodle seasoned with dried shelled shrimps and scallion oil.
