I’ve tried more than 10 Taiwanese restaurants in Vancouver and this place is definitely above the average. Their pig feet are so tender but chewy at the same time. All dishes are not excessively salty but super flavourful. Definitely worth going with friends or even dates 🤭
I bought two of my favourite Taiwanese dishes at Corner 23. Braised pork belly rice and the fried chicken. The fried chicken was good. Crispy and seasoned well. I will admit I was disappointed with the pork rice. The sauce was way to sweet. Other than that I really enjoyed ... the dish. Great dining environment, it's clean and quiet. Food is well seasoned, and the appetizer is well cooked. Rice is a bit undercooked and the pan fry dumpling's skin is a bit too thick in my opinion. Otherwisez everything is up to the par. The only downside if the dining experience was the service: Waitresses ... are too busy chatting and didn't just ignoring the patrons in the dining area. Another customer literally raise their hand for 5-8 minutes, and the waitress / cashier just chatting behind the counter. Similar incident happened to us as well, but I walked to the counter and made my payment. Overall it's a decent restaurant, hopefully the service will be better next time Read more
Awesome food! Great service! We had a baby with us and they managed to have corner and quieter space for us! The pork hock and fried chicken knees are the bomb! Highly recommended!
The Taiwanese cuisines in this restaurant are definitely authentic. The mild spicy chili with tofu and minder pork is very compatible with rice. The squid with 3 spice sauce is not that spicy and salty, so you can even have it without rice. The Taiwanese oyster omelet taste like the ... one you have in Taiwan, especially the sauce on it, and it has many oysters in it. The Wanluan pork hock is well-cooked and chewy, and very good with the garlic sauce they made. The staff are friendly and passionate. Read more
