Amazing service, my lady and I used to love eating here. Gloria is an awesome server, I hope she is still there, she'd greet us by name, offer us our usual spot and more often than not ask if we wanted "the usual". This place has got some history and ... if you frequent this spot be sure to inquire. Really interesting menu in terms of variety, I however am a creature of habit so i usually stuck with the three eggs breakfast and they'd automatically bring it with hot sauce (just the way i like). wish i could give it a 6th star. Really appreciated that they'd take the time to talk to you if thats your thing, too many restaurants are far too transactional these days. 10/10 would recommend. Love the motorcycles! Read more
My partner and I both work in the area and go to Blue Moon several times a week. We love it there! We've been plowing through the menus, we try to pick something different each time we go there and so far I've loved everything (but the Blue Moon omelette ... is still my top pick!). The food looks and tastes just like a home-cooked meal, it's good for the soul. I particularly like to pick off the lunch menu because you get Chinese tea with your meal, yum! The staff are wonderful, one waitress in particular knows us very well and we love to chat with her. The older couple always wave to us and say hello. Not sure what the comments about only accepting cash are about-- we pay with visa every time we go! The combo meals are big-- we split one! It comes with a starter of soup and a spring roll or deep-fried wontons, an entree, and a little cup of icecream. For $12 if you're not dying of hunger it makes an amazingly cheap meal for two and will fill you up. Read more
I come here a few times a month for breakfast. Plus, if you ask, they'll make fried rice just the way my mom did, so I'll be coming back here for the rest of my life! It's probably true that you don't want to mess with the older woman ... that owns the restaurant... she runs a tight ship... and I love it. Read more
A very small café but o-so-awesome! I'm a delivery driver, stopped by BMW just behind for a delivery when I noticed the receiver had a yummy plate of tatties, eggs and bacon on his table. I asked where it came from and told me it was from the Blue Moon Café. I ... wasn't in a rush and wanted a good breakfast... I was really happy to be in this friendly and affordable place. It's a fast service with very nice servers. I would definitely recommend this location if you're nearby for a great meal. Only boring bit is the parking, you have to pay at the meter one street behind at least, but if you're walking around, push the door and have a great time :) Read more
Hearty all-day breakfast and brunch. The combos are excellent. Good choice of lunch options as well, including omelettes and sandwiches. Gets usually quite busy at lunch, especially Fridays, but staff is helpful and wait time (for food) is not more than 10-15 mins.
